In the short term that would hurt...
financially. Long-term it would be worth shelling out $30 million since they're probably make that in one year with the ACCN and increased revenues from being in the ACC. I guarantee UConn's fan support will greatly increase if they join the ACC. UConn would struggle financially for 3-4 years but slowly recover. Similar to Maryland when they left the ACC for the B1G. I'd rather have WVU since this is all about football but it may be easier for UConn to join in the next 3-4 years than WVU. Notre Dame will be playing football as an independent for some time, so WVU's and UConn's chances are very slim at ACC membership for the foreseeable future.
